Black Label
Black tea is the tea most widely drunk in the world and accounts for approximately 90 % of all the consumption of tea in the West today. Black tea is manufactured in several countries including India, China, Sri Lanka and Argentina. The different types of tea are generally named after the geographical area in which they are grown for example Ceylon, Assam and Darjeeling.
In common with the other types of tea, black tea is produced from the leaves of the tea plant – Camellia Sinensis.
The taste of black tea is stronger than that of other types of tea, because of the process of fermentation of the leaves which has the effect of intensifying the taste. Black tea contains vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Research works have shown that the drinking of black tea contributes to the defense against tension and to the reduction of stress and so helps to prevent diseases of the heart and blood vessels.
